I was just wondering what aftermarket turbo manifolds we had open to us for S13's, i know a good number of them wont clear the left hand drive stearing and brake components. Has anyone made a list of manifolds that we know will fit or will fit with LITTLE reworking?

any input would be great, as i'd hate to buy one that would not come close to fitting.

I am wondering the same too. But why are turbo manifolds for SR engines close to $1,000! You can get cast manifolds for Honda's for 300-400 and stainless steel tubular manifolds for around 6-800. Is there a top mount externel wastegate T3 manifold out there for around 750?

there is this unit from KMD there are not many specs on it, it is about $475 according to the site, and have seen it on other sites for $550 shipped. they show some pictures of it on a left hand drive car.

but chances are your going to want to find a manifold that will allow for an external wastgate, and i think thats where the fitment challenge comes into play.

you can get cast manifolds for under 400$, jgs makes a T3/T4 manifold...

If you want a 'quality' equal lengt steel manifold, you are going to have to pay....

most good quality manifolds run in the 8-1700 range.

If anybody is looking for a stainless steel equal length manifold that maintains the stock bottom mount location for the turbo, I would highly recommend the KMD manifold. You can use the stock turbo or any of the upgrades (HKS GT, Tomei ARMS, PWR, Big28, etc) I have one on my car and it is very nice. You will feel more of a difference if you have an upgraded turbo.

I can get them directly from KMD rather than the previously mentioned link. If anyone is seriously interested, email me...

If you changed your turbo manifold, how much work would you need to make your intercooler fit proplerly?

I sent an email to the makers of the KMD turbo manifold, asking them about the fitment and what fits, what clears, and what wont fit, here is what i got back via email.

"Yes this will clear everything and bolt right up to your SR20 in your 240 and your stock turbo will also bolt right up to it with no cutting or mods. The GT3037 will not work because of the external wastgate. However some HKS To4's will."

for those who were interested.

Ken at Enjukuracing.com has a stainless equal length manifold that was prototyped on a LHD car so it WILL work with NO mods.

His price is around 750 I think (don't quote me on that) but having seen the manifold it looks VERY nice. It's got a flange for either the deltagate (yuck) or Tial wastegate and a T3 turbo flange. He sells a 'kit' with a T3/T4, Tial gate, all the lines, and downpipe if you'd be interested in that.

not sure if the info's posted on his site yet, but I've been to the shop and he has the kit (it's on his car right now).

later,

I have seen that manifold. It's want I would like to get. It cost 999 for the manifold + DP. The flange is for a 40 MM tial wastegate. On the website they say the kit will be ready soon. But it doesn't quote a price. My guess would be around 2800-3000. But I could be off.

i talked to Scott at HPI about putting a t04 flange on their t25 stainless manifold. he said they could do it, but the price jumps from 500 to $800. whoa...lol. that must be some flange huh? anyways, after getting this info, i am gonna go with the JGS Precision Turbo Setup...http://www.jgstools.com/turbo The manifold may be be as good looking as a stainless, etc., but i'll make mad HP figures for half the cost. I would get the stainless, but i need a new manifold right away to run my bigger turbo...my oil seal is SHOT on my t25...smoke sucks.~Scott

you will be much happier in the long run if you get a equal length manifold, stainless or whatever, but those JGS cast manifolds are not anything special at all...

for those interested i emailed Enjuku racing reguarding their kit and got the fallowing response.

The kit will fit left hand drive cars since that is what we designed it on. The clearance is tight around the a/c line and steering shaft, but clears just fine. We will offer different trim options on the turbo. We just finished dyno tuning our prototype, which produced 393 RWHP and 346 RWTQ with 21 psi on a bone stock SR motor. This was using a 50 trim compressor on a TO4-E compressor with a .63 a/r turbine with stage 5 wheel. The complete kit will sell for $2799.99.

Has anyone tried the Vielside SR20 manifold?
