Aftermarket Tow Hooks

What are your thoughts on aftermarket tow hooks? Too ricey? Poser-ish? I don't know, maybe its just that I'm up late and I'm bored, but I'm wondering how a red one would look on my Versa. They're not cheap though.

To be honest, there's absolutely no point in buying one unless your car sees dedicated track duty where one is required. On the street it'll do nothing except interrupt any aerodynamics on that area. The stock towhook that you attach is sufficient enough.

I've always thought aftermarket tow hooks looked cool if you're car is sick enough to handle it! I wouldn't like it on a stock Versa, it just wouldn't flow.

It's completely unnecessary on a street car.

Those types of towhooks (rear) wouldn't work on ours because of how our thing that would hold the towhook is positioned. It's horizontal and slanted downwards so no proper tightness would be able to be achieved and as such would be loose.

The front ones are still able to be done if you chose to do so because those are just screw-ins.

just steal one off of a poser rice kid's car next time you see one sitting in a parking lot...most likely this will happen to yours anyways...

For the front, it's a pretty big size of a bolt.The back will not fit no way...

I wouldn't do it.The only reason I ever would is if it needed to be there for a reason.

But with that being said. It's your car! If you like the way it looks than by all means I think that you should do it. When people add aftermarket items to their car it makes that car fit them more and makes it unique. I say if you like it than do it! Who cares if it looks "ricey". At least you like it.

I seriously just saw a Versa with a tow hook added in the front and I can't find the picture again.. I'll keep looking and I'll post it when I find it.

I think thats what the piece is for on everyones bumper... you know on the driver side how there is like piece that looks like you can pop it out?
