Aftermarket tachometer

Hey guys sorry if this question's been asked before but I did search for it.

I've got a 90 with an SR and I was thinking it might just be easier to install an aftermarket tach than to find a newer model dash and trying to swap it out.

Does anyone know where that wire is that I tap into to get the reading? I found one thread saying it's wire #3 with a red/yellow wire coming out of the ECU...Is this true?

BUMP because someone here MUST OF HAVE put in an aftermarket tach?

yes the wire is red/yellow coming out the ecu.

i thuoght about an aftermarket tach. but decided on the apexi speed and rpm datalogger
