nooo what the piss is a tach adapter.. i dont have one my tach works fine whenever my engine starts

so if i dont have one then u dont need one. use ecu pin 7 to rev signal hook up to the new tach slice the wire in

or look around your harness and look for something like this it'll have a yellow/red wire going to, pull the black cap off and run the new tach wire this. it's fine and i'll work thats on my harness and i ended up finding out and follow it to ecu pin 7

hey i have the same problem as you and i was looking up how other ppl installed there tach on a 26 and i came across this tread...i tried wiring it to th #7 pin(red& blue) and it didnt work..bought that adapter and tried that and it still wont work....before tho my stock tach worked but its still calibrated for a 4 cyl...now that one doesnt work either...did you end up using the adapter....did you splice into the #7 wire or just cut and butt connect them???? please help....thanks in advance...
