So I took the factory radio out of my 1990 240 and have wired in a new deck. I've triple checked my wiring, and everything seems to be good, but whenever I try to play a CD or aux or whatever I have no sound whatsoever. I know this is a common problem so I did a little research. A few questions were answered, but now I'm a little more stumped than before. I've read that it could be a factory amplifier that's causing the problem, but the 1989-1990 240's didn't have amplifiers. I also have a 6prong plug that's now not being used at all with a blue and 2 red wires leading to it.

Can anybody give me some tips?

You have power though? If you've got power obviously it's the speaker wires or your deck not working right. Sometimes switching polarity on one speaker messes up the rest, same goes with grounding one of the wires. I think we have an audio/interior section, this would probably be better placed there.
