I am pretty sure i can not afford good coilovers so i decided to go with springs and shocks. I do not want to spend more the about 500 dollars. I was looking at KYB AGX's with RS-r springs(mostlikely the race editions) But do not know that would preform. Also will the shocks give out to the springs quickly? i am looking for long life in the shocks like everyone else. so if anyone has had this set up on a S13 then can you please give some feed back on how they feel. I am leaning towards a tight, nice, stiff feel... they are for daily driving but i want it to preform well on drift days. If anyone has a differnt set up and like it or extremely dis likes it please give some feed back. Thanks guy.

KYB's are said to be ok up to a 1.5" drop. After that I believe their warranty is voided. I've been running a 1.6" drop on the front for over a year with no problems.. so as long as its close to 1.5" and you have your bumpstops installed I wouldn't worry much about them blowing out early.as for a daily driver, they are pretty good. You can set them at 1 and the ride will be close to stock (minus whatever harshness the springs introduce) and can be set hard enough to make your kidneys bleed, its up to you.

The RS*R race springs are very similar to the springs I am running now, so i'm pretty sure you'll be happy with them + the AGX

How abou tthe megan lowering springs? they have a higher spring rqate in the front. isnt that what i am looking for to achieve a stiff ride? and wouldent that help the shocks out too?
