As the title says, what options are there for us KA guys that want to replace the ignitions system in our cars. Yes I searched, but it's all kind of vague and scattered across thousands of posts. Basically I was looking at OEM replacements for the distributor in my S14 and with the cheapest option being about $200 for a reman. unit and I can't help but wonder if there are other options that would provide better performance for cheaper or a comparable price.

MSD has something called a Tower Blaster for the S14 dizzy but I haven't found anything that proves that its really worth it.

I don't think you really need a new ignition setup unless you're pushing a lot of horsepower.

I've heard about people hotwiring the ignition coil for more punch though..
