This is one of the most inconspicuous cameras I've seen. It mounts in one of the license plate light holes, but it's for an X-Trail. Would anyone know if this would be the same size as the Rogue license plate light?
Thanks

Hi insomnia816 - That looks great, it's exactly what I am looking forinsomnia816 wrote:you mean something like this?

Does anyone other than insomnia816 have this type of camera installed. I haven't heard back and I'm still trying to source one out. If you have one (with or without license plate LED) could you let me know - thanks in advance.rolade01 wrote:Hi insomnia816 - That looks great, it's exactly what I am looking forinsomnia816 wrote:you mean something like this?
, where did you get it and how much did it cost.

In addition to the cameras technology issues like CMOS versus CCD you should also consider the type of lens material. Some cheaper systems have plastic lenses while the better ones use glass. Maybe even more important is is being aware of the cameras field of view and if it has night vision capability. Some cameras are limited to 120 degrees, and some have no night vision (or are limited at best). Better cameras have a field of view of 150 to 170 degrees (or more ) ... and eventually we'll all find ourselves backing up at night time sooner or later.kots1 wrote:I would stay away from CMOS. it is an inferior quality. expect to pay at least $80 for decent quality camera.
