welcome, to the club i just recently joined myself, but There are tons of threads here about the harness adapter, use the Search button, its at the top of the screen and its flashing red. Type in what you need to know in and click search. as far as aftermarket radios are concerned i dont like them they take away from the authentic look of the interior. I just had my radio fixed for the same things that are wrong with your radio, its a very common problem for Bose systems in the infinitis of that era. Now my stereo sounds and displays perfectly, and for a cheaper price than i would have paid to get a aftermarket system. As for the lights inside the car not working make sure that you use a fuse test light on those fuses b/c sometimes there bad even though they dont look burned out.

Interior (dash) lights is usually a failure of the dimmer wheel, located so cleverly where it bakes in the sun and catches any and all dust moving in the cabin.
