aftermarket radio installation

im in the market for an in-dash dvd player but i cant seem to find a dash kit that fits my car. i own a 2002 i35 with the navigation package. any ideas?

is it the pop up in dash or the dual din one?

i think it should fit with the metal thingy that holds your old radio. im sorry if i didnt help im not really sure what exactly you need

i have the same problem i have a 200o maxima with a flip up dvd cd player and it fits in but theres no trim that hides the side i have to have custom fiber glass molded around it

You wont be able to find any either. The maxima ones do not fit.



They leave gaps on the sides. Screw holes do not line up.

You need the dash piece from a nissan cefrio. Someone picked one up off a guy on the .org a while back? Dont know if he has any for sale still. They look Like this.



The wood part is the piece you need, does not include the pop up nav.

Find a high end car stereo shop in your area, an independent or a small chain. Not sure of what part of the world your from but normally there is at least one left.

The high end shops can custom make you anything you want, I have a 02 Maxima GLE with factory navigation as well. There is plenty of room to install anything you want in there. The Naviagation piece is a double din size. The factory radio is a single din non iso mount. Hope this helps, good luck.
