Hi guys, not sure if I have introduced myself yet. If not, I'm Jon and live in San Diego,CA. I recently purchased a very clean 03 pathfinder le 4wd. I’m currently in the process of gathering everything I need for the mods to begin. Right now I am looking for current photos of aftermarket head unit install. I’d like to be able to see how the radio was integrated into the weird trim shape. Thanks guys!

Sorry I can't provide any direct experience on this, but Nissan had several variations of the radio and climate consoles. Your LE model, which has that slightly angled right edge, leaves you with two options:

1. There's a specific dash kit for 03-04 LE models that fills that angled space and allows for installing a single-DIN radio. It also adds a small pocket under the radio. $15-20

2. Install the radio/climate bezel from an 00-04 SE w/o Navigation. This will allow single- or double-DIN stereos. If going the single-DIN route, you'll need a radio pocket or blank panel. All your bezel buttons/switches will transfer to the next one, so it won't matter what it comes with (or without). $75-$100 for bezels on eBay (cheaper at junkyard) + $15-$20 for a pocket or blank panel. I'll get some pics for you tomorrow after i get to my workplace so its easy to see.

Extremely easy to replace these stereo's, my double din sticks out slightly but doesn't bother me

Hey guys thanks for the input. I did some more research... unfortunately getting a bezel from JY won't work. My pathy is 4wd and I have the knob on dash. I did; however, find out I can use metra 99-9999 trim kit for a custom cut-to-fit border. I'd still like to see photos if you guys have them. thanks!

Here's mine, my Pathfinder had the factory NAV so I was able to use the same bezel.

Actually the limiting factor is the climate control...I forgot that there were other control units that were 'integrated' into the bezel, instead of a modular unit. So yeah, short of also changing the unit, that's not a good option. Sorry about the mis-info.

The 4wd knob is actually interchangeable to other bezels, btw...non-LE, apparently...but you need a certain bezel insert. This one I know for sure because I have the part-time 4wd system with a lever, and I added the all-mode knob to control my air compressor and lockers. You just need the different bezel insert with 3 switch openings.
