As the title says... what are some fitment issues people have had with aftermarket components w/ the S13 SR in a S14?

Essentially, what works, and what doesn't.

If it doesn't how did you get it to work.

Need info for possible upcoming FAQ :)

If you have the s13 engine in your car, you need to get the s13 greddy front mount aswell, and not the s14 front mount. I say this because I have an s14 with a s13 redtop, and I have the s13 front mount. Only because I heard that it was necessary here on the forums. Also, even with the s13 FMIC, it will not allow for the windshield wiper reservoir to stay.

Also, the larger KA a/c line will not reach the a/c, you'll need a custom line made that is longer, and bends around like the sr line. And the KA throttle body will not allow you to get CC w/the swap, you need a custom throttle mechanism to be made. And the EGR sensor on the Turbo Outlet pipe will not clear the steering rack. I had to move it lower on the pipe.

Everything else is just about the same.

Thanks, more or less looking for fitments with aftermarket exhaust component combos.

I know people have trouble with the SSAuto mani's w/ aftermarket elbows.

I broke 2 Thermostat housing till I realalized that the SER Thermostat does not fit correctly. At least with the thermostat save yourself the trouble and buy either Geniune SR one (I got a used one), or get the Nismo or somthing.

I did not have to do anything to my throttle body. I have a 95' SE with S13 Blacktop. Intercooler needs to be S13 because of the cold pipe. S13 and S14 SR have dif throttle body locations. My VSPL took some nice modifications to fit. Basically had to cut some of the metal so it wouldnt eat a hole into the intercooler, and It now sits closer to the car. Other then that, for engine parts, buy S13 SR parts. For other parts such as catback, suspension, brakes, etc, buy S14.

Just swap in a KA TB to make you cruise work, it's also 5mm bigger and a free upgrade since you've already got one laying around. The other mods you guys listed (with the exception of the S13IC) are things you would have to change on an S13 or S14 install.

The SS autochrome dosn't fit anything (S13, S14, S15) so I wouldn't worry about that to much. It will fit however with the Greddy elbow, but not with the HKS one. S13 and S14 downpipes are the same, the exhaust's are different from the cat back though.

The wiring is the only real issue to deal with when installing the S13 into an S14 and even that isn't tooooo hard. S14 has a different radiator layout (coolent overflow tank is on the other side). That's about all I can think of that's different.
