Just introducing myself and posting for the first time. For those who could not afford the factory navigation system, I just found out that the Garmin GVN52 Black Box will work with the 2007 G35 screen with inputs located in the center console. I spoke to someone at the GPS store (www.TheGPSstore.com ) who said its easy to install and cost around $500.00. Also, a thirty days return policy if you are not satisfied. I'm a newbie, so please post if anybody has installed the black box. Disregard if you already have this info.

It will work, just not the touch feature. You still need the remote that comes with the black box.

I just got a new 07 g35x. I thought about that but I think there are a couple problems with that. First, you can't use the AC inputs when the car is moving. I know that they made this for safety reasons so that you can't drive and watch a dvd or something like that at the same time. I heard that there are ways to override this safety feature but that involves taking the head unit out which I am not going to do to a brand new car. The other problem I thought of when thinking of doing that is that you can't listen to music at the same time when the screen is switched to the aux setting for whatever is plugged into the AC jacks. I went with the factory Nav and its awesome.

if you have the money to buy a $40,000 car you can get the factory nav. This is the first car that i have had nav in that i absolutly love. the split screen feature is the best and its very easy to navigate through. there are a few things i would add but i think its worth the extra money.
