so after reading and reading and reading i saw that it is not worth buying the stock navi and putting it in. I have read numerous times that we should do a double din conversion which we would buy the parts from here

http://www.grubbsperformance.c....html

double din finisher, bracket and ac controlalso recommend is the pionneer system(Pioneer AVIC-D3). Has anyone done it and does anyone know or how to do it? Is there anywhere in san jose, CA that does it? i really want to add in a navi but am so lost on what to do.

Its not exactly what we think is worth it, is it worth it to you? Upgrading to navigation will cost you about the same as the stock navigation package ($1800). It'll be a little more expensive but its stock and essentially seamless. Going aftermarket gives you a few more options on what you want to do and possibly even more features.

Do a search on this, there was a recent discussion on its worthiness. AddictionG35 is doing an aftermarket upgrade at the moment, maybe he'll pop in here and let you know what's up.
