I have the bose radio and I'm looking to get the Pioneer Avic Z2. I know I need the Metra stereo dash kit, Antenna Adapter, Stereo wire harness, Scosche line out converter. The Z2 is capable of Siruis and XM would I need to add a extra antenna. What would I need to be able to use the Steering wheel controls? I know I need the Ipod Adapter, and the Bluetooth adapter.

You need the PAC SWI-PS steering wheel control interface, could only find it at Crutchfield: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-G...SWIPS

An alternative to the Metra dash kit is the scosche dash kit, this ebay link is the only place I could find it now, the site I ordered it from doesn't have it in stock. I wouldn't pay $45 for it, that's too much, but just to give you an alternative: http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-2008-...wItem

I started with the Metra kit, the guy that did the install effed it up pretty good so I got the Scosche kit and a new installer and I've got to say the quality of the Scosche kit is far and away better than the Metra kit. If the only place to get the Schosche kit sells it for $45 though, I'd probably go Metra.

Yeah, you would need an XM or Sirius interface, not sure about part number or anything because I passed up satellite radio in favor of my iPod. The person that could better answer your questions is Doc Feelgood. I'm really out of my element and only had the info on the dash kits and steering wheel adaptor because of what I went through having to get my D3 installed twice.

For XM...

you can get the GEX-P10XMT.. this will allow you to get XM nav traffic in addition to your XM radiohttp://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-GE...wItem

For Sirius...

you can get the SIR-PNR2... but you don't get nav traffic with this http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SIR-PN...wItem

Both tuners will come with xm satelite antennas that you can mount on your dash!

For steering wheel controls, you need either the PAC-SWI PS... cheaper off of ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.com/PAC-SWI-PS...wItem

or this off brand onehttp://cgi.ebay.com/Retain-Ste...wItem

the antenna is black, if your dash is black, you will barely notice it! yes, I've heard of folks mounting them under the dash, but reception wise, that's not a good idea. Remember, you're gonna have 2 antennas to mount

1 for the navi GPS ans 1 for the XM or SIRIUS radio tuner

Actually, as I stated earlier, I'll be in NYC at a medical conference from March 19th - 23rd... if you can get over to NYC, I'll install it for you.. my install price is $150
