Finally got my in dash navi hooked up, received wires and radio surround late last night and couldn't wait to install it on the weekend. The radio/navi is a Dual XDVDN8290 ,has built in bluetooth, ipod interface included and the navi works great. For $475 you can't beat it. Matches factory console.

Looks good but you have it in the wrong section this belongs in audio/video.

The radio/navi I got from Bestbuy (online only ) and the dash kit I got from ebay, if you type Altima Navigation it will be the third one down, the seller is Bruce Titus Auto Group, only for the regular AC controls and cost $29.

None will work with wheel controls. You need an extra module (PAC SW-##) to make it work.

They probably don't carry this model no longer, just checked website and it doesn't appear on it.

Looks clean. That OEM surround is a blessing, hoping I can throw my single DIN in it with the tray that comes with the Metra kit underneath.

It will install with no problems, that was my initial thought, but saw the 2din and liked it better. Single din flip out was how I had it in my 07 Sentra.

So have you tried out the bluetooth on it yet? Does it work through the car speakers like it would if you had it as a factory option? And does it have a special connection for the iPod interface? How's the gps signal?

Like what you did to your A/C.Bluetooth works perfectly, has built in microphone and clear sound on your speakers, it comes with the iPod connector cable so you can control it on the touch screen and charges it also and finally the GPS work perfectly, signal great and over 10 million POI and easy to use. In my personal opinion I absolutely love it and the dash kit I got matches the rest of the center console.

Sweet...because I already bought it 3 weeks ago and its sitting in my basement. Got the Clarion VZ409 flip out, cant get wait to install it...although seeing your double din in there is making me have second thoughts.

Unless you put the radio under the tray, so when you open the screen it will cover the tray. The downside with the 2DIN is that you have no way of covering it, so if someone has bad intentions you lost.

Nah was going to put the HU above the tray for sure.

Are you referring to some stick up kids? Not TOO worried about that, I park in a pretty safe area. Please elaborate though...not following.

Yeah I was referring to it being stolen just because it's in plain sight and the flip up the face is hidden.

Ahhh gotcha...because the double is right out there in the open. Ive always been a fan of flip outs, kind of makes me feel like Im driving a Transformer. Had an old Kenwood cassette flip out with 10D CD changer in my Avenger (first car '00 to '04, no comments please) and I loved it.

Once we are all mod'ed up we should get up! I'll buy the first round. Pub?

Yeah guilty it's a DUAL, already had three of them, first I had the motorized face one with the volume knob in the middle (never had a problem) second I had the xdvd710 (loved it).I don't think they are the devil, they are probably misunderstood.

This didnt work by the way. The tray has a few ridges on the side that prevent it from fitting all the way into the OEM surround. It also has a little bit of a ridge around the outside that make it impossible to push all the way in. Looks like Im installing the full Metra kit...

Just becareful and get the protection plan .... The reason best buy dropped that brand from most of their stores is the return rate and reliabilty ... If it craps out on u and u got that protection plan they will let yu choose a diff indash... We carry the new x series pioneers

I have to check but I think my wife got the protection plan, I still think it's pretty nicely equipped for the price.
