im thinkin about changing my headlights out, just for the hell of it. im lookin into these on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

they say 100watts. i know the infiniti manual suggests using 55watt bulbs for the low beams. does the 100watts basically mean the max that the bulb will take, or does that mean it will try to draw that amout of wattage??

bad experiance with these lights, they looked good, but melted my wiring, i dont suggest any type that draws more than 55w, and by the way, the lights i tried didnt improve visibilityabout your question, i think it will draw close to if not all 100w

Never pay a cent for any bulb proclaiming "Xenon", "Ultra", "Blue", "Hyper", "HID", "Plasma", "Kelvin", or any of the other yo Vtec terms so popular amongst the automotively brainless. Without exception, they are crap. Also avoid the "Looky, Transformer!" packages.Light output has virtually all to do with reflector and lens, and little to do with raw wattage. It's more where the light is put than how much of it there is. The lights on the J30 are pretty good- worry more about how they're aimed than over-watting them.Even more crucial on a J30, the perversely unique headlight relay is much more delicate than should ever have been allowed out into the public domain. They can't deal with the extra load a set of 100W bulbs would exert. For the best light possible from the J30 headlights, spend your money on a set of Sylvania Silver*Stars. They're made by Osram, who along with Phillips produce what are simply the very best bulbs on the planet. They're the best thing you can do to J30 headlights.

And yes, 100W bulbs will draw 100W, just like the bulbs in your bedroom lamp will draw whatever they're rated at.

In a nutshell (just like other have suggested) only use a 55w bulb-don't exceed.

The bulbs produce super white light with a slight bluish hue

These bulbs are wiring protected. Our bulbs are factory tested on OEM stockhead lamp housing lens. You may want to upgrade your stock wiring harness for better protection.

I have those lights. They work fine and look COOOl. But its hard to see at night, and you have to constantly get the headlights re-aligned. I jsut gave up on the re-alligning. It doesnt melt your wiring.

Actually yea it does melt your wiring..

Whos laughing now?? I had some 80 watt bulbs and the insulation next to the headlight melted right off. It messed up my headlight relay. And my light were driving me crazy.

I got silvania bulbs at 55w and a new headlight relay and no problems since.

If you want the look just spend the 250 on a nice set of HIDs and be done with it. Cheaping out on "xenon" bulbs just doesnt cuz it.

HID is extremly cheap now a days, you can get a plug and play 4300k 9006 (bmw/audi/mercedes brightness) and it wont be ricer blue, for around 130 bucks shipped to your house off ebay.

Never buy HID from eBay!! I paid 235 with shipping, and I have done extensive research all over the net for cheap HID kits. I can almost guarantee that i've got the best price on the on net for brand new HID. When I refer to cheap I mean price wise, not quality. The quality of my 6000K is phenomenal, and how many complements i've got already.

I would never trust eBay for 91 bucks?? So you decide what you would like to do, but remember, no halogens will come close to HID.

Hope everything goes well with your decision!

ebay has pros and cons.

always research the seller. I have xenon lights since 04 still running good. I didnt get the blue.. but I got the super bright whites... look great in my book.

from what I've seen, some HID kits are only one beam. quite a few of my friends dont have high beams, but the HID kits is really bright that you dont need it.

No sir! I have my high beams, my low beams HID, my fog lights, my corner lights (5W) That's 4 pairs of lights I can choose when they turn on!

Hope this answers your question!
