I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but aftermarket keyless remote fobs are available on Ebay for the 94-96 Q45. It looks like the same fob also works for the J30 (93-97), G20 (93-96) and 300zx (93-96).

My OEM remote fob crapped out 2 days after I sold the one off my latest parts car and although these don't have the Infiniti logo on them (for the purists) they work exactly the same and have a green LED that lights up when any of the 4 buttons are pressed. At about $17 for one fob and $29 for a pair it seems like a great deal- they come with batteries installed, a lifetime warranty, free shipping and a key return service should you ever lose yours. The package didn't have the programming instructions as their ad says but that's readily available by searching NICO posts or at Q45.org. It sure beats having to unlock the door with a key in the dark. :gapteeth:

That is my biggest issue with owning a 1st generation. No keyless remote. BOY its a pain. I have been finding some OEM nissan ones piece by piece in Japan for the earlier presidents. I am just waiting for a whole kit to show up...

I forgot about this function. I checked last night and the windows do not roll down when the unlock button is held down. Darn!
