after researching all of the intakes out for the 3.5 a/c i found that the stock mass air flow sensor is still used after install.

i found that JETCHIP.com has the "POWR-FLO MASS AIR SENSOR" Part#69138claiming that the Stock Air sensor is very restrictive, especially for aftermarket air intakes. after install the Air flow is increased upwards of 45%, im sure thats a general number they use.

Does anyone know anything about these aftermarket air sensors? would this give aftermarket intakes EVEN MORE sound and/or horses??

With any mod to the air intake and/or fueling, for any good hp gain, you need a tune. If you change your MAFS, your ECU needs to be able to work with it. You can't just put on a random MAFS and expect the ecu to know what to correctly do. Isn't the 3.5 using a pretty wide MAFS? I've never seen inside one but my bros 350z's mafs looks alot like a z32 mafs which is 4-500hp capable. If that's not enough for you then any higher and you'd go MAF-less anyway with a stand alone computer setup.

The MAF sensor on our cars just sticks into the intake pipe, and it's pretty thin. I really don't see how it could restrict the airflow much at all.

45% sounds like cr@p to me.

I'm not sure if you're trying to be funny or critical, but what you actually asked was:

ofcourse there is no gain, not without tuning. IF it actually will make 45% gain in flow.

We've tested the JET MAF and it is basically the stock part. It is the exact same size and shape and does exactly nothing to change the way air flows in the MAF tube. Biggest BS claim in the industry.

We offer a replacment MAF but ONLY for one reason. In forced induction applications the stock MAF only reads approx 400whp worth of air. The HPX MAF we had built to use with our software in FI applications is rated at appox 1000whp worth of flow metering. It does absolutely nothing for performance and cannot be used without our tuning software.

The stock MAF tube and stock MAF haven't shown a real pressure drop till you hit 700+hp so I wouldn't worry too much about it as a performance modification.
