Does anyone have any advice on aftermarket inner tie rods?

I looked at Moog. They used to carry a OEM like inner tie rod where the only discernable difference (From OEM) was the plating on the lock washer. Moog switched manufactures for the tie rod and the new ones look nothing like the OEM ones. The ball joint is much smaller as is the lock washer. Pretty much Moog made a huge mistake on this one. When I spoke with someone from the company they said that EV346 was only made for the 1990-1996 Infiniti Q45. The new ones look like they would fit the rear steering rack of a Touring model Q/J/300ZX/240SX....

I contemplated replacing the entire steering rack on the 1994 Q45a with that of a 1990-1993 Q45 (Faster...). I figured if I am to replace both inner tie rods I may as well replace the outers. Inners are the only ones with play as far I can tell. I have a helper hold the tie rod joint tightly while I shake the wheel and notice the reduction in play.

So if anyone has a source for a cheap steering rack, Less that $400 (Without core charge) Preferably in a local store (No shipping of the core...) or OEM like tie rods at less that OEM price I would greatly appreciate it!

Hope everyone had a great Holiday and has a great New Years! (For those who celebrate)

Nearly two years ago, I found one of my OEM inner tie rods was bent. The original inner and outer tie rods ball joints were in good shape. I have no idea how the passenger side rod became bent. I replaced inner and outer tie rods with Moog. No issues.. The ball joint size on the new Moog matches up with the sizes provided in tie rod end tool kit that I rent from AA.

I need to replace mine also...brought to my attention while changing out to winter tires. They wanted $500 at Midas to provide the service and could not even tell me that name of the parts manufacturer. I looked at the Rack Doctor and I am feeling better ...checked with Scottsdale Infiniti...special order.....$256 plus tax and shipping, so close to $280 delivered. Rack Doctor is $159.95 plus tax and $75 refundable core charge. Thank Paranoid Jack for that very timely info.
