aftermarket head unit?

i want to replace my factory head unit with an alpine touch screen dvd player. it has a 6" screen yadda yadda.

problem is, when i remove the factory head unit, it is connected to the air conditioning controls and pretty much is just one large peice. does anybody know where i could purchase a piece that would let me keep my air conditioning as well as mount a 6" touchscreen cleanly?

again i appologize, i just dont know what you would call that piece.
