aftermarket guages/ or >120speedo help

i've searched these forums inside and out and i can't find crap for this subject. i've also already posted in the regular 240 forum and as you would expect i got no responce..does anyone know where to look or what the answer is to this problem is...



ok. i'm putting an s14 dash in my fc rx7...(it fits great BTW). i have a small block and a t-56 in it right now, but i'm going through it again and adding stuff (like a new motor/paint/ dash/guages/ maybe a rear turbo). i wouldn't mind putting my autometer stuff in it but the cluster window is too short in the 95's for my 5" tach....(rx7's come stock with a 5" so it wasn't a problem until now). ALSO, i wouldn't mind keeping the dash cluster stock and using all of the stock guages. i like for things to look stock to the untrained eye but at this point either one of these options would be ok. the problem about using the stock 240n guages is converting the tach to 8cyl. (if i end up with an LT1) and MOST importantly adapting the speedo to run with the t56 vss. i'm not sure how many PPM it is right off the bat but i could look it up. ALSO, the stock speedo is only a 120mph. DOES A HIGHER MPH SPEEDO COME IN THE S14'S? if i stayed with the stock cluster i would most definately want a higher speedo....(as high as possible or info on anyone adapting a stock looking high speedo in it's place.

SO, the question is this:

1. does anyone have pics or info on previous aftermarket guages being put in the stock s14 cluster???

2. does anyone have any info on successfully adapting the s14's speedo to a GM or other VSsensor???

3.since there are a couple of guys on the board that do v8 conversions here, does anyone know them or know how to get them to answer mails???

i would REALLY appreciate any help some of you guys could lend. the project is coming along nicely but i can't really finish it without finding these things...
