I got thesegauges from ebay and they came with a power inverter and an on/off switch. The power converter has two leads, red and black so im guessing power and ground. Where would i splice these wires with for power, should it be the dimmer switch so it comes on with the headlights? I have no idea what kind of voltage it requires, the package didnt say anything. Also, one of the gauges got a little dirt on it and scrubbing with all purpose cleaner isnt working, any suggestions to clean it up??

Thanks alot

try a few different places for the power, ie: the dimmer as you mentioned earlier, the power for your cd deck, or find the power wore behind your gauges that gets power when you thrun on your lights, i would try the first two first, as they are the easiest, but would probably try to do the third option, as i think that is the correct place to do it... as for ground, either find a ground behind the dash, or make a new one and ground it to a screw going into metal, like the fire wall.... i dont know about cleaning it though... sorry.. hope this helps

i got the same thing for my 96 240sx, i found a power source on the dash and hooked it up to that wire but i shouldn't have spliced the ground wire on that also... now i get this little noise when ever the gauge is on bright setting... i should re-connect the ground somewhere else and see if that fixes anything.but with this setup my gauges come on when i have the lights on with the oem light switch.
