I am planning to boost my KA and I know its a good idea to have some sort of fuel management. I saw this one that was a realy cool looking idea, it has a bunch of features but the cool part is that it plugs into a nintendo gameboy SP and you use its screen for the tuning. I was wondering if any of you have tried it or know if its good? Its called the Turbo XS Dtec and here are a few links, http://www.turboxs.com/more_info.php?ID=192 http://www.amsperformance.com/...=1056. Also if there is a ECU that you would recomend be sure to let me in on it. Thanks.

Seems like it is very similiar to the safcII. The safcII is about half the price of that. I have read that people have had very good results with the enthalpy tuned ecu. You could get something way better then that for $700. I personally would put that money somewhere else. Greddy makes the emanage and the emanage ultimate. Which seems to be way better then the gameboy thing. There are alot of options out there. Try searching a bit.

MSII for $420....why even use anything else. My modo is either go budget or go big...the mid ground playing field simply doesn't have the options to warrant the spending.

MSII for the win, especially with the simple write up thats posted on here, I am surprised not everyone is jumping on that band wagon.

Although I haven't used MSII my self I was preparing too before I totaled. So I checked out all their software and tools the darn thing is self explanatory. And for anyone that has ever made any type of fuel or knock map this will be cake for you.

I just thought it be cool looking and if it did the job good I'd pay a little extra for it because it could get you some points in a car show, I already have the gameboy. You can get it alot cheaper than 700 also, especialy since I won't need a turbo controler yet. I was just wondering if it is on the level of the greddy ecu's. I agree with go all out or go for budget but its just sounds so cool.

Points in a car show...hmm, check me out. Fabricate a stand for a laptop, then have the screen open to the MSII tuning screen with all the sensor outputs showing. You can also have the Laptop playing your mp3's at the same time.

Dude you want show this is what you do.

Build or buy your self a Micro PC, then go shed get an IR display wireless keyboard, and a 7in touch screen monitor. Then hook everything up hide the micro PC somewhere in the car nicely tucked away. And have Windows installed on. Then you have the 7 in touch screen monitor displaying your Operating system of choice, and all the software necessary to control the whole car, this will also eliminate any need for any type of music playing deck, cause you can wire the mini pc system to your amps and just play your MP3's, Videos, DVD's with a help of a nice compact external DVD player.

Now lets say one of your friends has that new spanking cd you want no problem insert it rip it wam you got it. This will also have wireless to connect to internet and what not,

If interested I can have a full system like that build for under 700 dollars. Thats with out the software. Then at the cost of MS2 which will be hooked up to that system displaying live DATA.

Now that my friend is show. Sound difficult not at all, I bet my sister would be able to put something like this together no problem with the proper guidance.

Lol i've always wanted to do something like that...... I thought it would look way too nerdy, but that was when i was in high school. It sounds like a good idea with the megasquirt.

Show cars are lame.. Half the time, the people who own them can't tell you how to use half the stuff they have on the car...

I think show cars suck period....but thats just my opinion. I'm all for a complete car. Stereo, body kit, rims/tire package and enough motor to run 11's. But show cars seem to take the body and "ICE" if you will, to a level I probably woulnd't seek.

Speaking of ICE, where the hell did that even come from? Although atleast its an acronym for somthing. Whip on the other hand....hello, where did this come from.

If I ever refer to my car as a whip, put me down on the spot. I'll totally understand I promise.

In my opinion the so called show cars out there do suck especialy since alot of them are people with alot of money who buy alot of kits and have someone else put it togather for them and have huge nos bottles that probably aren't conected to anything. Motorcylces on the other hand are a great example of what show should be. They are clean, fast and are creatively made with style and taste. I think a real Show car doesn't have to be the fasted car but it should be the most creative, well balanced, fun, clean look and done with style. You should be able to enjoy the ride and be able to beat the local street racers (Btw don't street race its a disgrace). Lastly and most important homemade mods, anyone can install a kit but homemade is the true definition of custom fabrication. That would be my opinion of a 10 out of 10.

People at car shows should just run SSAC since they barley even use their motors and just want turbo for the looks.....
