Yea, the stock fuel rail is good for quite some HP.

But in answer to your question, AFAIK, there isn't any aftermarket fuel rail available for the CA stateside.

what's the injector spacing between the RB and CA. Maybe you could take one of them thar nifty ones and hack it down. Anybody want to throw in some knowledge on a square fuel rail -vs- a round one. I don't know myself but I am very interested, there must be an advantage to one of them.

Most CA's use and 8port intake remember? The injector spacing isn't even.

Im pretty sure he did

anyway, a custom job cant be that hard

i had been thinking of a design where the fuel splits and goes to both the front and rear of the fuel rail, then the FPR outlet is on the middle of the rail. This would be to prevent the alleged "less fuel to the 4th cylinder" problem at higher power levels. (and i say alleged because i havnt seen it myself, just read here and there)

But im sure that a high enough pressure fuel pump and hoss FPR would solve the problem as well.

so, in summary: hoss fuel pump, big injectors, new O-rings, and hoss FPR and you should be good (might want to replace all teh soft fuel line while youre at it, i did, and like alot of things, its just piece of mind.

or you could go all out and replace all teh fuel lines with braided stainless

yeah, i doubt ill be running into any problems with my planned 280whp. still, it would make for a very ballin' engine bay. it would be nice to have one that used -an fittings, so you could just run stainless lines throughout the whole damn car.

by the way, i like your use of the term "hoss." i havnt heard someone (other than myself of course) use that one in a while.

thought i had come up with it first :\

got any links to pics of this setup?

it might even be possible to mod a stock rail to perform this way, add a FPR adapter to the middle.... ehh... another thing on the list of inexpensive ideas to build and test when i get bored... which wont be for a while still

(my CA20 block is still at the machine shop waiting for some time for me to get a solution for the idler pulley stud.... )

IIRC i just saw "custom" CA18DET fuel rails on ebay not too long ago. There was a limited number of them aswell. They came in anodized blue and red. They were going for about $150-200. They looked mighty fine but was not able to purchase one as i did not have the money. Also they were from a company in Austrailia. Did anybody see these or know what im talking about?

Yea, I saw them. They used AN fittings. You'd have to use a remote FPR, as I don't think it was setup to accommodate the stock FPR.

I don't think they had a stated flow or HP amount.
