So one of my foglights have shattered a while back. I don't know how, I think it may be the damn dealers fault because they test drove my car to check my swing arm warranty or w/e, but I have no proof so I can't call them out on it. Anyways, I've heard about hdcautosports halo foglights and might invest in them. Nissan has freaked me out a bit with that whole aftermarket and electrical problem. If anything happens, I'll lose my warranty all together. Quoted around $300+ just for the 2 replacement foglights + labor. Ridiculous price which is why I'm trying to go aftermarket. My question, has anyone experienced any problems with aftermarket foglights as severe as the aforementioned scenario? Thanks guys!

I dont really understand what you are asking.
Others have had lenses crack, rocks, it happens.
People have used aftermarket housings.
It does not void your warranty.

Basically has anyone had any trouble with aftermarket foglights, like say from hdcautosports, a vendor on ebay? My OEM foglight shattered and Nissan doesn't just replace one, they want to replace both of them. They just told me that if the aftermarket part messes with my electrical system, they'll void my warranty completely.

if you buy the aftermarket oem style foglights, i dont see how it could possibly mess with your electrical system if it is just the housing that you are replacing?

i have the ebay oem style aftermarket fogs, besides this issue they work fine. mine may have just been a fluke incident

If something did happen to your electrical system, they would have to PROVE that the foglights were involved, plus its just a lighting system that's being replaced with another lighting system, so in reality, only if something was actually wrong in the foglights that you buy, then nothing should really happen... just my $0.02

Thanks for the reply guys! I don't know if I should buy a new set or not. Expensive stuff and I don't know if anyone on the forum has had aftermarket fogs for a long time. Guess I'll just look for a new housing.

Well I originally bought a set of ebay halo projector fogs for my car, however they sent me ones with the wrong fitment. I got a full refund, and they seemed as though they had a good build quality, just make sure they don't send you the wrong bracket. But yah I can't speak directly because I only had them on for a week or two.

I am currently seeking a set of fog lights for my 08 coupe I just recently bought. My didn't come with any fogs at all and I am really liking those halo projector fog lamps the original poster discussed.

Other than obvious "halo" looks they have is there anything different from halo fogs and just regular fogs? If you look closely at the halo ones in the HDC Autosports Ebay store you can see the actual switch has two separate on/off buttons on it. Does this switch control the outer ring lighting that is more cosmetic in looks obviously and then the actual bulb as well?

Anyone with a set of these or another brand of halo projectors shed some light on the subject.....no pun intended.
