Aftermarket Fog Lights question

For the guys who have fitted aftermarket fog lights to thier Versas, I understand the hole diameter is 3"

Do you think a 3.5" diameter fog light would fit by trimming the opening? i can't seem to find 3" diameter aftermarket foglights

Although this has prob. been said and done for; for those of you still wondering - yes it can be done.
I have 3.5" aftermarket fogs installed. I think I even read that 4" was fine.
