Hey. I’m new to the group and would like some advice on aftermarket mufflers preferably MAGNAFLOW. I don’t have any information of the diameter of the piping so if anyone can give some model numbers to look at it will be greatly appreciated!!

There are a few threads on here about exhausts with photos, etc. I believe the piping is 2.5" but you can probably confirm in those threads.

Welcome! Stock piping is 2". The mufflers bolt onto the midpipe with 2" flanges. If you are looking to do just a muffler swap, the easiest way is to get a Stillen axleback or the Infiniti Sport mufflers. They have the correct flanges welded on, pretty much a DIY project to change them. If you want Magnaflows, you'll need 2" inlets/outlets, and a muffler shop will probably have to install those. They could cut the factory flanges off of the old mufflers and weld the Magnaflows to them.

Does the Infiniti sport muffler have a deeper tone than the Stillens? I found videos of the Infiniti Sport with the 3.7 on youtube but not the Stillens axle back.

There's a video on the Stillen website:
https://www.stillen.com/2014-15-infinit ... ystem.html

They call it "rear section", compares stock to Stillen, plus intakes as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70y90jAzeE4 this one is a 2014 3.7

Sound pretty similar to me, comparing Stillen axle back to Sport axle back. The Stillen catback may be a little louder, not necessarily deeper.

Infiniti sport mufflers are made by Fujitsubo. It's their Legalis R model, straight through design, top quality IMHO. The Stillen looks identical to them.

I am running the sport muffs on the V8. Bolted right up no problem, sounds great with a custom X-pipe set up.

Do you have any sound clip and pictures of tor setup on the V8?

I have several videos on YouTube; just search 2012 M56 exhaust.
