I'm going to order up a koyo al. radiator(the KA one right?) along with the flex-a-lite 220 electric fan(fits perfect right?). Will this work with the stock thermostat? Or which thermostat will I need??

Also, are there pre-made radiator hoses that will fit my application?

the ka radiator works just fine. you can use the stock thermostat too. Samco makes a silicone radiator hose kit for the ca but they are tough to source.

I just used the radiator lines from a KA/DE and trimmed them to fit.

OBX has a silicone hose set on ebay for the KA/DE for $50 or so.

I don't know about FALs but I got some dual 11" SPAL fans that are uber quality, OEM quality fans. not direct fit but they aren't too big, just have to slap together mounting bracketry.. and I have a 53mm Koyo KA radiator to put in as well

ya the flexalite fans fit great (the 2200) but are way expensive... i would just get 2 off ebay and with the left over 100 bucks get a high pressure radiator car and one of the cooling plates that go in front of your radiator...

fatdelix i like your sig

I've had experience with cars at the track with electric fans not spinning fast enough at higher speeds, and thus causing some overheating problems.. Has anyone experienced this with their cars??

I think I'm just going to stick with the stock fan for it's performance and reliability, even if it is robbing me of a horsepower or two.. plus, retaining the stock fan is free.

haha..

sdtouge: thanks.

++i had 2*11" electric fans, on my ca. They cooled good, and you get some more power.-- one of the wires rubed to hard against the radiator and got cut so i had to stop on the highway to fix that. Blew a relay, sucks alot of electricity. Also, i had a threw core setup(dont do this),u guys kno the little straps that go threw the radiator. One punctured my radiator, so i had coolant spraying on my belts(busted alternator belt), and then had to fix the radiator.

Now im running stock clutch fan. ive decided that the little extra power isn't worth the reliability for me.
