i just got a new Alpine CDA-9887 head unit... i was wondering what I need to do to get the bluetooth and the steering wheel controls to work with it... is the Factory bluetooth gone when I remove the factory stereo?

In short, you can still keep the wheel controls but you will lose the factory bluetooth. They sell kits for the steering wheel...PAC SWI-JACK is what I used for my controls when I had a JVC unit in my car. If your alpine comes with a "steering wheel control" function, then the SWI-JACK would work for you.
