I tried searching for a couple of threads on here that people started about the sound systems in the A/C but it seems like the search engine is down atm.

Here's my humble setup lol.

This is the one I have

http://www.supercrewsound.com/08AltCoupe.html

I have two JL 10W3V3s.. don't have any pics handy, but it's great.

You have to get upgraded terminals or it's not very good. You have to contact the owner for that, you can't choose it as an option.

haha that's the exact box i've been looking at and it seems over priced for what it really is

What subs did you put in it?

Definitely, but get a sound processor that's capable of time alignment.. hate the sub lag. It's not that noticable (only on certain songs), but I'm definitely fixing it down the road.

Edit: I think PXA-H100 will work.

yeah it's worth it in the long run but they're so expensive. i'm a little concerned about how it's going to sound running off of the stock head unit

no i understand i need an amp, i already have one..i'm talking about no sound processor.
without one, it's up to the headunit and i always know that subs don't sound as great off of a factory radio as they do an aftermarket

Stock headunit is fine, I would just get a sound processor.
What amp did you get?

Both my amps are hidden from view, one under the trunk floor and one in the dash under the steering column.

alex,

did you custom build that box or did you have it built by someone?
I'm always a little skeptical about putting 1 sub on just 1 side because of a possible unbalanced sound

He built it himself. The sound is pretty balanced imo, I've seen a setup like his in person and it sounded awesome.

Yep I built it myself and I posted a fairly long thread about how I did it entitled, "boom boom." The sound is very good and at 80 hertz or less you can't tell what direction the sound is coming from, thats why subs are often filtered to this frequency and placed in trunks and stuff. So in other words, yes it is balanced.

From a guy that used to work at Cartunes in Coquitlam, but I think he's left. Funny thing is I bought that box used for 90$ off craigslist. What can I say, I got lucky. :D

The only reason I found the maker of the box is that I went to Cartunes where I knew a few people, and the guy that helped me checked out the box, and recognized that he made it. Small world.

If you want, I can find out a place or two to recommend you to for getting something like this done.
