Aftermarket Car Alarm Disabled

A friend's 240SX was broken into even though there's an aftermarket alarm. Sadly the thief(s) walked away with the HU and it didn't make any noise throughout the night. The HU can be replaced, but what's worst is now the car won't even start. I suspect this is all related to the disabling of the alarm, since the car was running fine. Is there anyway to get this car up and running again.

You should be able to just unlock the car with remote entry (assuming it has that) and it'll re-enable the ignition. That's how my DEI Viper system works.. unless the thieves cut wires... Then I have no idea..
