I know this has been asked many times before, the only problem is the information is old and some bumpers are out of production.

And since an accident has left me in need of a bumper I would love to put on an off-road bumper instead of the OEM Qx4 bump. The only place I have found that seems to still make bumpers is here. But they have less than favorable reviews on some other forums.

Do you have any input on the KMA bumpers or actually know of some company still selling bumpers?

Please help.

PS. Watch for my Qx4 rebuild thread coming soon.

Or another option...

Do you think I can get a bumper made locally at a metal shop without it costing more than a KMA?

I have also been searching for a rear aftermarket bumper to replace my factory one. KMA is the only company I have found that will produce a steel powder coated bumper for the Pathfinder. The only issue is that their bumper does not wrap around the vehicle side; the bumper they produce is simply a straight metal bumper which just extends from corner-to-corner. I am looking for a bumper which will also cover the bottom of the rear quarter panels.

KMA is super cheap and they may even modify the style to a wrap-around if asked.

I have thought about taking my R50 to a machine/fabrication shop and asking them what they can do with it. I am sure it would be fairly simple to mock up a steel bumper, I'm just not sure if it will be cheaper than KMA's.

This is what I'm looking for (the bumper in the following pictures was custom made)...

That bumper is nice. I need a front bumper but would totally go with a rear bumper down the road. So KMA will make a straight rear bumper, huh? Do you know if they will make a front bumper that slimmer than the one posted on their site?

Sorry, I thought you were talking about a rear bumper.

I think the one in the pictures on KMA's site for the 3.3L Pathfinder is really deep since it is the wincher bumper and it has a winch box. I think if you were to purchase the bumper without the winch box it would be significantly thinner.

I'm personally not a fan of the KMA front bumpers since they are pretty hideous. I am a huge fan of the ARB bumpers, except for the steep price.

I'm sure you could go to a fab shop and ask them to make a front bumper. I think you would probably be looking at somewhere between $700-$900 (depending on labor rate) for a custom front bumper since it does have curves and utilizes more material than a rear bumper.

Is this what you're looking for?

That is what I'm looking for. The ARB bumpers are expensive and I can't find one for the R50. Who's Qx4 is that in the pics?
