I have a HKS seq BOV on my sr. I thought I was using the right vac line for the BOV, but I was at the track friday and a guy that had had an sr said my turbo was surging . This was true, as a reved, the BOV wasn't opening to releive pressure. If anyone knows anything about this subject, I could use your help! Thanks

it is set too tight. you should just loosen the bolt.

The bolt is as loose as it can get. I tried that first. It seems as if I am not getting enough vacuum to open it?!? I'm not sure how to test the blow off, but at the first opening of the throttle, the BOV opens slightly and briefly. When under heavy throttle and then letting off the gas, it doesnt open and there is a rushing sound through the air cleaner.

Where is the vacuum signal comming from? the intake manifold I hope. If you don't have enough vac... you may be leaking somewhere.

you know that little nonsense filter thing?

cut the filter, but be sure to leave enough on the fitting to clamp a hose onto there.

now run a hose from that fitting to somewhere on your intake.

voila.

you're recirc!

it sounds pretty cool, too, but it's not loud at all

It is coming from the throttle body on the bottom vac line. I don't have a vac leak, I have checked that too. I think the biggest problem is I can't watch the BOV while driving. It sounds like kind of a fluttering sound with a very very slight whistle when I shift, but it doesn't do it when sitting idle with the hood up and I am watching.

Found out the BOV needed to be tied in where the fuel reg vac line is going in at!
