Has anyone changed out their stock bluetooth and steering wheel controls for aftermarket ones in the convienence package? Does anyone know if the aftermarket ones are plug n play or do any wires need splicing?

I thought about doing this when I bought the car over a year ago and nobody has tried this yet. If it could be done, I'd like to get an aftermarket dvd player with sonar view camera mounted in the back.

Why are you looking to change out the bluetooth and steering wheel controls? There are aftermarket dvd/navi units out there now that is able to integrate the factory steering wheel controls. One I know off the top of my head is the Eclipse AVN726E which is the unit that I have but unfortunately, I don't have the steering wheel control so I'm unable to use this feature at all.

The problem with that unit is there is no detachable faceplate. It's going to be a security issue, especially with people peeking through the windows and they see that expensive unit worth stealing.
