I have a 1991 240SX and the rubber coupler between the throttle body and hard air intake has broken. Seems this part is no longer available so i decided to go aftermarket and be done with it. What air intake system is everyone using and will my stock Mass Airflow sensor fit in there? Thanks

I made my own. I got a silicone coupler from one of our vendors here on NICO, but I can't remember which one.

This is what I was looking at http://www.240sxupgrades.com/1991-1994- ... 24065.html.

My hoses are shot also and it seems like this includes everything. I didn't see how the Mass Airflow sensor installed at first because they left that out of the picture. I read later the adapter and hoses were included. I may decide to go your route though and make something. Has anybody ordered from 240SXUpgrades.com?

I've never ordered from them. This is actually the first time I've heard of them. AEM has been around for a while though, and it usually a solid product.
I typically order from our site sponsors like Enjuku racing and 240sxmotoring.com.

I was going to save $20 over the one at Enjuku racing, who I have ordered from before. I actually like the AEM better over the one at Enjuku racing also. Actually all this was caused from another problem I need to make sure I have fixed before I invest in a $200 air intake. I may tape up the rubber coupler this weekend, make sure my problem is solved and go from there. I actually found a generic coupler at a local parts house, I just didn't know what to call it at first. I would then have to install a nipple for the vac hose.

Yeah if that coupler went bad, you're going to not run well... like at all. You'll be sucking in a bunch of un-metered air and run like crap.

That nipple for the vacuum hose is for your idle air control valve, and it's fairly important, but it doesn't HAVE to come off of the coupler... you can rig it off of the tube if needed, as long as it is sucking in air from between the throttle body and the MAF.
