After it shuts down does it start normally and run fine for the rest of the day? How many miles? Idle smoothly? Always good acceleration? Recent maintenance?

Is your MAF connector loose? Any (green) corrosion present? Have the connections been cleaned and tightened? It shouldn't wiggle up or down more than about 1/8".

Answering these questions will help us diagnose the problem. Welcome to NICO.

Yes it does start normally and after pressing the accelerator a couple of times it runs fines the connector does wiggle a bit I didn't notice any green corrosion on MAF by the way it has 170K miles on it

While it is warming up is the idle fluctuating up and down at all or just decreasing as it warms up? Have the throttle body and/or IAC valve (idle control) ever been removed and cleaned? What RPM are you running at idle when warmed up?

The MAF connector itself needs to be clean and the pins tight. They can be cleaned with a toothbrush and penetrating oil. All 3 should look like the middle pin.

Also check the throttle position sensor connector. It will be a black connector similar in size to the MAF connector but attached to the TPS on the throttle body at the opposite end of the air tube. Do the same pin cleaning and tightening as described for the MAF connector.

That was a lucky find and a lucky lead on my part. Like the old saying goes- "Sometimes even a blind squirrel finds nuts".
