I caved in to my sunglasses fetish. I actually sold off or gave away most of my others. So it was time for a new pair.

I had a pair of Oakleys custom built. I went with the Half X's with an X-Metal Frame and Tungsten Iridium Polarized Lenses.

Light, comfortable, damn dear indestructible Titanium alloy frame...

They are the sechs...

Awesome. I love Oakleys. I really won't buy anything else. Well, except for mirrored gas station/WalMart aviators

I own a pair of tortoise-shell gas-cans that cost some poor bastard a lot of money. He left them in a bar bathroom and I was lucky to find them and was the last guy out before the closed. I know it's not good form, but I'm pretty sure the staff would have just taken them home, too.

I think you secretly like to buy expensive things.

Very late-80's. Better than those faggy rose-colored Gloria Vanderbilt sunglasses you wore a couple years ago.

I'm selling my Flexon Maui Jim MJ-503-02, and I really, really wish I could find a replacement lens for my Revo 3077's.

I got my Maui Jim Dukes (my favorite sunglasses of all time) back from repair and my face is now happy.

Gotta go with hitman on the Maui Jims. I found my Jims under a table while I was waiting tables about three years ago. They were all beat up. Maui Jim replaced them with a brand new pair for 60 bucks and told me they would replace them for life. My lens are getting rough, may send back in. The best pair Ive ever owned. If I lost them, I would pay 300 for a new pair for sure....

I have to admit that Maui Jim's are badass. I just wanted something like these. Maui Jim's are up there on the list when I fall off the wagon again and get another pair.

Noah, you'll have to move somewhere that actually gets some SUN to justify buying tons of glasses haha.

I used to have damn near 20 pairs. Most were Oakleys, but had a few others mixed in. It's pretty easy to compile a collection like that, when you live somewhere that the sun shines as much as it does in Dallas. I just started getting rid of them over the last few years because of lack of sunshine here in Washington. Now I buy them with lenses that aren't nearly as dark.

Different glasses look good on different people. Post pics of you wearing the shades then I'll tell you if they're cool.

You have the powers. Restore it. I was just really irritated last night. So really, just restore it. I would do it myself, but I no longer posess the badass powerz needed to do it.

So here Greg, so there is no confusion, I was being a butthurt sandy vagina last night. Put the damn thread back the way it was... Please.

Bummed that Oakley (which owns Revo) doesn't maintain parts for their popular models.

My 3066's (or 3077's) have a cracked lens, and all they'll offer me is $40 off a new pair. Lame.

Lemme see what Revo's I have at home. I have an older pair, polarized I do believe, only worn by me once or twice. I let a friend rock them for a few weeks, but they are still in awesome shape. I think I know where they are. If they are what you need, I'll send them your way.

Yes, I am like an alcoholic. I say I only have one pair, but there are a few pairs stashed around the house.

Just make sure they offer UV protection. Sunglasses cause your pupils to dilate since its darker. But without UV protection in the lenses, your eyes will absorb more UV light. Since UV light is not something your eyes detect, it will not adjust accordingly and cause more UV damage to them than if you had no sunglasses on at all.

Hmm, not sure where that info came from?? We bought Revo in 1999 and didn't acquire Oakley until 2007 (they still think it was a merger). Send me an email and I'll see if I can track down who (if anyone) has a line on old Revo's. Or what's the closest to them offered currently.

Oakley Gascan. I get all my Oakleys from my local Matco Tool dealer since they're all authorized dealers and I can pay em off after a couple weeks.

I always thought of Oakleys as sunglasses for f*** who wish they could wakeboard.

<---wants a nice pair of Wiley X's or Gargoyles.

I like glasses for a purpose
