Anyone have any experience with buying warranties on used vehicles?

I found a company (AAautowaranty) that will set up a warranty of drive train and engine for high mileage and older model year cars. Is this worth the investment? I figure if the transmission fails, or something equally catostrophic fails, this would definately pay for itself.

Just checking.

I did... but, topics I found were related to newer model years and did not contain discussion of the things I was curious about.

I have had an after market warranty for the past two years......95' Q45 and have had about $8000 worth of work done. I bought this because I did not know the engine or trans like your self, and found out almost everything on the car was covered. The company's is 877-604-9086, it only cost me 1500. The cost is by year and mileage. Good luck!

Dude, dont waste your time with anything like that. IM willing to do labor for food, and i got the hookup for any parts youd need... engines for less than 1500, trannies for 500, and so on......

Of course, you would be welcome to come up here... if you are looking for a change of scenery. You woud have a place to stay, of course, and I would feed you well!

But, I imagine you are more comfortable working in familiar surroundings.

For now, I am going to plan on driving down on the 6th. If that won't work for you, just let me know.

no offense but im not interested in putting oil stains in your driveway...... I dont know if you could tell, but I tend to be very messy when I work on the car..... ATF all overmyself really doesnt bother me... plus if something bad happens we have quite a plethora of "bail me out" tools at the marina.....

Hey... I am a fan of the "bail me out tools"...

Wherever you are most comfortable works for me. Besides, I rather enjoy the drive down to Indiana. Wide open country... a little quality time for just me and my car.
