Hi Guys,Enjoy the forum. Just purchased Nissan Versa 2008 SLT model. All options available anyways. Love the car so far. Very roomy, comfortable. I didn't care about the sports driving aspect, just creature comforts and room. So far, haven't been disappointed. Gas mileage after 2 tanks is just over 30mpg, so not the best, but definately better than my old Dodge Caravan. The only thing that bugs me about this car is no temperature gauge. Would like to know if I'm over heating etc. Has anybody put in an aftermarket temp gauge and if so, where did you mount it.

ThanksPhil

Best bet would be to get your moneys worth and get a ScanGauge II. Lots of more capability than just a temp gauge.

You can save $10 by ordering from Amazon, if you decide it's something that would be useful to you.

Thanks, looks great, but I'm kinda an old fart and like the gauge to be analog or scaling. Easier for an old guy like me to understand.

Understandable! Keep in mind the Scangauge can be moved from vehicle to vehicle, allowing you to use it as a diagnostic tool as well.... might be some food for thought.

Other than that, I'm not sure of the process for adding in an analog gauge and temp sensor/sender to a Versa.

SLT?! man turbo Versas in Canada...

I think the best place to put gauges is in the glove box.

1. For cops...they see gauges they start thinking.

2. well there is no 2...thought there would be while i was typing this.

The "T" is for "Tech Package" bluetooth, steering wheel mounted audio controls etc...

I put a temp gauge in the center console above the stereo. Pics on cardomain page(link in sig). Simple autometer gauge and used a flow through temp sensor. Cut about 3/4" out of the radiator hose and put the sensor there. Directly onto the flow of coolant.

Very nice. Pics of where you cut in exactly and the type of flow through you used? That'd be great.

If you decide to go with autometer it will come with almost everything you need. You'll need some extra wiring to connect everything. The buddy club connector i got on ebay. Thats about it. Temp stay aroound 180 in normal driving and hit 200 in dead traffic.

I have the ScanGauge but only watch the Engine Temperature. Sure wish they made just the Engine Temperature Gauge that would plug into the OBDI ribbon.

Great. Thanks for the info. One last question. What size was the in-line connector you used? (ok, maybe two) How much you spend total on just that setup?

I cant remeber the size. I didn't buy anything special everything that came together fit. My setup cost close to 200 with the 3 gauges.
