after market speakrs in 04 sedan

so im thinking about taking out the bose speakers, and adding some new better speakers, and subs and amps, so i took it to a sound shop, and they said that theyll have to rewire the whole system because bose is specially made, is this true?

They can use the OEM speaker wiring, but they will have to run a power wire from your battery. The amps will need an input either OEM deck or aftermarket; if you still want to use the OEM deck they can tap off from the wiring harness and use high-level inputs for the amps. They should use the signal before the Bose amp. With that signal, they can connect the amp to the full range signal (the sub amp will use a low pass filter) or if the amps allow it, the frequency crossover can be controlled between the two. The shop can use the OEM wires for the front door/rear deck speakers which will be aftermarket. The harness is off the Bose amp...
