Has anyone had any luck purchasing aftermarket seats that fit well into a vert? I am looking on Ebay and there are several companies advertising 240sx seats but am not sure that they will bolt up to the stock mounting frames. Please send links if you have had success.

With stock vert doors, many don't fit - I believe you need ones w/ 24" or below overall width, otherwise it will hit the door panel.

With coupe/hatch door conversion, you can run almost any seat.

The ones you see on eBay for the 240sx are just universal seats unless it says it includes seat rails. For the most part, you can fit any of those seats with the proper seat rail - i.e. bottom mount rail for 240sx or side mount rail; different brands may vary. Most bottom mount seats will fit w/ the Sparco bottom mount seat rail for the 240sx. Recaro bottom mount seats will bolt up to Recaro seat rails. Most side mounts will bolt up to either the Bride seat rail, Nams seat rail, Buddy club seat rail, etc.

None of those seats (or any non-240sx seats, for that matter) will bolt up to the stock 240sx seat rail w/o some modification.

If you have any questions about particular seats, you should try emailing/calling the company selling the seat.

Unless you get some nice name brand buckets/recliners just go with oem seats like s14, s15, r33, etc... Nothing's a bigger turn off than cheap no-name knock offs, especially in a vert when you have the top down. Plus with oem seats, you don't have to worry about custom rails, and they can be had for for cheap (usually).

Sometimes the best fix is the cheapest.. I had a s13 with typical crappy seats... found a s14 with nice seats for $200, they fit perfectly and cost a lot less than the high dollar after market seats (Corbeau's, Sparco's, Bride's, etc)
