Sounds like they stripped the stud. The stud is the threaded rod that sticks out of the hub that the lug nut screws on to. You have 5 studs on your a/c. They are easy to cross thread or strip if you don't put the lug nut on correctly. Once this happens the stud has to be changed. The stud actually connects internal to the hub its connected to. You have to take the hub apart to remove the stud and replace it. Hes right, it is internal, and Nissan would have the best take on doing it. However, Nissan is never going to cover it because the other guys shop is the one who caused the damage. Take it back to that guy and have him replace it. If he really doesn't know how to do it, he will refer you to someone else to do it, and his shop will cover the expenses. They guy is just trying to save a buck. Hope this helps

If you have another dealer near by, you can put the stock wheels/tires back on, and pay that other dealership's service department a visit.

Let's not 'lose' sight of the source of this problem.

20" Rims are the Devil's Wheels.
