after market header/exhaust/ cam combo

I am thinking of adding a header and catback exhaust to my 95 s14 with a KA and manual trans and am wondering if I should change my cams. I am currently running 240 intake and 232 exhaust. Also, any suggestions on the exhaust? Dont want anything too loud, but this stock stuff seems very restrictive. thanks

i got a magnaflow 2.25"in w/ dual 2"out part #14220. Took it to meinake and had them do a custom 2.25" cat-back. Also have hotshot headers. Its almost stock sounding at idle and it sounds really tuned when driving. can be a little loud at wot but not overwhelming

What did the muffler shop charge for the install?

$90 for the shop, $110 for the muffler,a pair of chrome tips $20. the shop I went to uses mandrel bends so its as good as any kit catback and imo looks better than a giant can hanging off ur bumper.

Yea, Im not into that giant muffler thing...just want to get my car breathing a little better

kid i know that runs around here has a 96 with dual s13 exhuast cams, hotshot header, and an apexi n-1

gave it a whole new attitude..runs like a champ and sounds even better, esp for a dd with 200k

but im a fan of muffler shop doing it..its cheaper, you get EXACTLY what you want..and i'd really want make my own dart izumi(sp?) system at a fraction of the cost (hide a muffler further back so you don't have the coffee can hangin there)

yeah i took mine to my ace muffler i ran obx headers ,2 1/4 straight back with a muffler with 2 square tips all in all 100.00 installed ..
