Would have wanted the Blind Spot Warning w/o having to get the entire Tech package. Is it possible to have a dealer install just the blind spot warning system.
Noticed one on the web for under $300. Any opinions out there? Do you use it if you have it, any problems?

Thanks

I doubt the dealer can install it after. I would call the dealer and find out, but I would assume it would cost more than 300.00!!!

Even better: $1 blind spot warning system:

Foolproof. No warning bulb to burn out & cause you to crash!

I'm not sure if I would trust an aftermarket system, or, an original system.
Personally, I could never be comfortable relying on something like that. Every time I merge, I'm sure it's safe as the result of years of experience and always paying attention.

wingFeather: Where did you get your convex mirror? That isn't an M mirror is it?

I think these mirrors are the way to go.

It's really surprising more auto makers aren't doing the Ford-escape/edge style built in mirrors:

/uses a glued on mirror from CVS :)

It's just a photo I pulled off the web. I do have a little square on my M's mirror though, and it's been PRICELESS!!!

And I agree with Bejjutsu. Such an inexpensive feature that could save so many cars is a no-brainer. But I guess that is the answer right there... less wrecked cars = less new car sales.
