I just installed an after market clod air intake to my 92 nissan 240sx and now when I start my car it dies out unless I rev up the engine. If you can solve my problem without me having to go to a garage or the dealer please do so. Idle too low problem?

MAF. check to make sure you didnt wiggle it loose, and that it is indeed still there in its correct position.

maybe MAF, but i had the same problem when i put an aftermarket "ebay" intake on. you have to adjust the engine's idle at the adjustment screw. this screw is on the intake manifold, near the firewall. its down a little bit, but you'll find it. actually, i'll just supply a pic. anyway, you unhook the throttle position sensor and to bump up the idle, i believe you turn the screw counter-clockwise a bit, then plug the throttle pos. sensor back in, and check the idle. it should be 700-750RPM. if the idle is still not within spec (750 +/- 50rpm), then repeat the process until it is. if the idle gets lower with each counter-clockwise turn, then i was wrong, and you need to screw it in to raise the idle.

G'LUCK!
