After installing new stereo, SRS/airbag light flashing

There was a topic on this and I searched, but the "search" for this site sucks and doesn't seem to search this forum, but only the nico forums, not this one... </end rant>

I installed a stereo today and the SRS light is flashing, I know there is a way to fix this but I searched for the topic about it and can't find it... there should be a "how to fix ..." sticky.

I've read that with maximas you can open the door, turn the key to ON and push the button that senses the door being closed 7 times... and I read another process for the rogues. Can't I just disconnect the battery and hold the brake down to drain all power?

any help is appreciated.

but that's the thing, I did try to search first... I'm not a forum noob. I searched for "stereo srs" airbag light" "flashing light" and even "stereo help"... and none of those pulled anything out of the altima forums. thanks though.

funny, i went to search, put in "airbag light" and searched the Altima General Forums, and on the results page,, "4" of the results were for Altima Coupes or 4th Gen Altima Sedans...

You probably tried to do a search from the main Nico forums (http://forums.nicoclub.com) or hit the top right search button (zerosearch).

In order to search the altima forums you need to be on http://forums.altimas.org/ and hit the flashing red search button. (http://forums.altimas.org/zerosearch)
