My girl after a wax job

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

My wife said looks better then new.
Only one upgrade left - springs. Don't know if I'm actually going to do it. The ride after I changed to 20" is much better - just the way I like it. With firmer springs the ride may become too stiff for everyday driving.
Btw, what upgrades can you guys spot here?

Looks great!

Tint, upper rear bumper guard, painted side sills and painted front spoiler?

I've seen pics somewhere in the forum with EXs with HR springs installed and they look pretty good.

I became old fat and lazy - for the 1st time in my life had some one do the waxing - so I've got no idea what they used.

Yes to bumper guard. The rest is not painted - I've installed a whole aero kit. Some probably have seen me complain that the kit is too subtle. One more subtle mode you've missed - tinted rear lights.

Good looking kit. Subtle is better than over the top.

Tint is on the top of my list (I just bought EX last week) and will eventually explore exhaust options.

How is the ride better with larger wheels?

I always owned sporty cars and never an SUVs because I prefer a firmer sportier ride. With lower profile the EX handles better, the ride is a bit firmer and the turns are tighter.

Looks very nice.
I am a bit of a safety freak about making brake lights darker. Pretty much the same as perferated condoms.

The bigest visual I see on the aero-kit it that it tucks the exhaust pipes in a bit. I agree that subtle is good. For me, a little more agressive on the front spoiler might get me to buy one.

The wheels look right proportion wise. They have the right fill factor in the arches. Very nice.

Let me try to sell you the tinted break lights idea...
Between tinted and not tinted lights I didn't find a big visibility difference when the break lights are on. Are they less bright? Yes. But not to notice you applying brakes one has to be really blind. It's like to say one didn't notice your break lights because of their sun glasses :)
Did you know that a candle light can be seen at night up to a mile?

I like your wheels. I changed the wheel on my bmw for larger rims and I don't think I will on the Infniti. Well at least not low profiles/
Pa roads are crap and I messed up the wheels on my BWW several times and the ride was not that great plus road noise load . I like styled wheels better if the OEM but I'm not giving up comfort and ride.

Sorry to bump an old thread but those wheels look great. Very Porsche Cayenne Turbo esque. What make/ model of wheel are they? Anybody know if they are light?

Tasteful mods=Classy Ride. And the wheels are the perfect size for this car. Beautifully done!
