Sadly ive never seen a ca in person or heard one, but i heard a sound clip and they sound pretty cool 4 a 4 banger. alot better than a sr, that motor is annoying.

The swap came out real good, glad to see one more running CA. That ssac front mount kit seems like a pretty good deal, if I build another ca/240 I might get one of those. Dont be shy post some more pics and vids if possible. Will look even nicer once it is lowered.

I was referring to the RB25/26. Not trying to diss the other motors, just saying that most folks dont recognize the CA's value/potential.

But very nice swap. I'm sure the summer will be a blast!

I have that website: http://www.japanesestarmotor.c....html Their CA engines cost $1250. Must have rised the prices? Or maybe thats the with shipping included? Anyways looking foward to see how a CA18DET runs done from a local with a couple friends. Thanks.

hahah, im looking into brakes right now.. suspension is gonna be a little bit hard.. im not really doing anything with it right now so that can wait

as far as the price, your right, i keep getting all the prices confused, its 1250 shipped.. the 1100 was from another place but that wasnt including shipping.. japanesestarmotors hooked me up... they didnt pack the drop resister and the mafs wire was cut, i called them, and they shipped it next day, deffinatly get my thumbs up..

I guess he stated that since it hasnt been too long since you had the motor running in the car? Probably need to break it in before going above 3000. I do hear when you rev it high that it makes a weird noise like a sasasasasshhsshhh. Maybe something is lose? Check at 25 seconds.

The watsegate ain't doin' sh1t when revving in neutral; sounds more like compressor surge. Do you hear that noise when you shift under boost?

blake, according to wei, you are right, that is compressor surge, he says it sounds like muffled waste gate which it does.. so yea..

but no.. it is the wastegate that goes off when i shift
