My first one was a 89' black 240sx manual bone stock and immaculate condition. Well I totalled it in my teenage years, had it for just over a year.. My next car is a brand new scion tc, well long story but I dont have it due to financial problems. Then I joined the army (I am deployed in afghanistan right now) and was seeking a car. I wasnt going to make the same mistake of NOT getting another 240sx this time. I bought a 96 240sx s14.5 JUST what I was looking for. I believe its green, thats what it looks like and I love the way the lights look from the silvia :) I bought it from a member on here about 2 weeks ago and had my best friend pick it up for me and he is doin whatever I tell him to. So far ive had to buy a new exhaust (always wanted a brm exhaust so finally I got it.) Also my buddy said the lights were wired wrong... The carbon fiber hood is apparently cracked bad, the body kit just looks horrible and the internal wiring is screwed up bad. However the engine and clutch systems are fabulous :) I knew about the body kit bein fudged and a few rust problems but my buddy said it was far worse then what I had thought.. From the pictures from the seller it doesnt seem that bad, but I guess ill just have to wait till august to see for myself..

When I get back I plan on completely overhauling this car. Everything from the ground up. Interior stripped, exterior stripped, new bodykit, wireing touched up, undercarriage is going to be pulled out, de-rusted, wire wheeled down to bare metal and put a nice coating of poc-15 or whatever its called.. Im pretty sure im going to go from the green the car is now to a nice dark royal blue for paint. New seats and carpet, all interior fabrics will get redone. I do want to inquire about putting in a sunroof and how hard it would be. Basically nothing will not be untouched, cleaned or replaced. Im going for a nice sleek look, its got coilovers on and is lowered 2" already. Im also going to get a sleek wing for it. Here are some pictures the seller sent me, of course the wheels are outta here... Below the 240 are a few concept ideas. Can anyone tell me what bodykit the black one is with the girl kneeling?

Pics to follow making a photobucket account...

Gonna have fun tearin apart underneath and cleanin it all up :)

Im so excited to work on this car!! But I wont even get to see it for another 6 months....

So what do you all think? Also where can I get replacement bulbs? lights are 8000hid's
Im trying to get my friend to send me more updated pics but he is lazy & its cold outside... Im making a list of what needs to be done to make this car literally off the carlot new. Later ill turbo the KA, always been a ka fan :) Thats it for now :P

Just get a good kit, and get some good rims...not those ones you posted. You aren't going for a "donk" look...are you?

As for the wing....I guess with a really aggressive kit and stance you could pull it off. Not my cup of tea, however.

And it needs moar low.

COMPONENT BEFORE COSMETIC!!! Meaning before you drop a few grand on wheels, wings, and whistles put money into that engine bay! RB swap <3 or even SR. Just my friendly advice, IMO there is nothing worse than seeing a blinged out car with a bone stock engine under the hood :( but it's your car duder. good luck

why do you all have to hate so much? sayin I dont know anything about cars or this car.. just because i didnt know what a hid ballast is... When working on cars was my main thing HID wernt all that popular like now, and I wasnt working with high definition lighting. Like I said in my post im not going rb its gonna be a KA-T so no it wont be all cosmetic. However when I get back from deployment the first things to go are the rims and the bodykit. The exact wing I want, I cannot find a picture for but it is similar to the one I posted, its more so for a sleeker, rounded body & kit, aggressive yet not too aggressive, it also goes with the headlights really well. Also my car wont be blinged out. I dont know what you guys are seeing in the rims pic but its not chrome. I hate blinged out cars. And incase you guys only read like 3 words of my post, this is pretty much a restoration & build project, everything will be cleaned and parts fixxed or replaced, cosmetics & engine upgrades will be mixxed in the order I feel the need to do. Who said anything about a blue dash? civics are the most retarded car ever.

Other thoughts... MMM.. your car doesn't seem to be in bad condition, it just looks like theres a bunch of random @#$% piled on top of it.. I know what you mean about cleaning up the looks first. As long as you don't rice it out then i don't see what the big deal is about trying to make it look decent to drive cause it sure as hell don't right now lolz. As far as coilovers go... you don't have them.. That guy you bought the car from was lying to you if he told you it had some.. UMMM... As far as the KA-T goes, i say don't do it.. That is unless you know how to take an entire engine apart and put it back together perfectly and stronger.. IMO i say you get a S14 sr with a T28 and work on the KA while you can drive the sr around. If you need info on KA-T's then check out the section of the forums.. WD did a kick a** write up on turbo KA's that will be bound to sway your judgment or atleast give you more insight. ALSO.. as far as the front end of the car... EEEWWW... dude get a kouki conversion and stick with that. The S14.5 thing looks god aweful to me. And what reaction did you expect from the rims? they look aweful lolz... go for something that doesn't belong on an s10 pickup.. GOOD LUCK!!!

1) Take care of that interior. Do not change it. It is rare. If that dash is not cracked, it is a gold mine on that interior. The interior with the color of the car is called BLUE EMERALD. That is a BLUE EMERALD Dash, with BLUE SEATS, with BLUE CARPET.. etc.

I have owned 3 240's, and owned a Blue Emerald 240. I've only seen about 2 in person, and 10 on the internet with their owners.

2) If you don't have the ability to fix up the car, motor work, etc. Then you need a professional shop to do it. Especially the wiring. Don't take it into your own hands if you don't know what is going on.

3) Your car is your car. Do what you want. But the "drift" scene has changed, a ton. And the direction of the car you are going in does not SIT with the times. Everyone is going to bash you because A) Those wheels are hideous. If that's what you want, then that's what you want. B) That wing is not functional, and it is for show only. I can guarentee you will get someone to roll down their window and laugh at you in histerics if you add that wing. C) Cut the trunk off, remove the hood, front bumper, cage the car, add boost, and drift. That is the scene.

4) A sunroof is not possible. If you want a sunroof, buy a 240 with a sunroof.

5) Yes, drop the kit. Rewire all the S15 lights, and fix the ballast and the HIDs.

In my opinion, just take a look at the now. See what the "rave" is and get in on the scene. It is your car, you don't have to post it here, you don't have to take our "s***". You have money. Use it wisely.

(buy a house, ditch the s14, get a new car, and find a german bride, done.)

Thanks for the vin #, I do love the interior of this car, like an upgrade to the 89 interior. i def am not a ricer nor like what they do to their cars. I ordered a brm exhaust because I do love the way they sound. plus stainless throughout the whole thing :) I just got the carfax, i have no clue really what this car has been through, but ill treat her right. I would like some gunmetal colored rims, sumn with like 5-6 spokes with a lil bit of a lip, like 1 1/2" or sumn close to. The first thing im gonna do is a tune up & fluid change. Then tear apart the undercarriage and clean that up..

OK so I'm going to be straight forward take it with a grain of salt if you want.. If you continue to try and put that wing and those rim's on that car it's going to be hideous. Some nice xxr 522's and a stock wing and a zenki front end would look nice. I like the kouki front end myself and not because of the band wagon. The car looks terrible right now, putting a different body kit and rim's doesn't mean it's going to look nice. :tisk:

Well I can read nismo on the spring but that doesn't really mean its a nismo shock or strut. Take your wheel off and read the tube. You have the car, get as much info off of it and google the stamped numbers.

You came to the right place for direction. Reguardless of the s*** these guys like to dole out sometimes. Bring her back to Zenkiness, and make her clean. SR the motor while you rebuild the KA. Awesome learning experience. Enjoy your car when you get back. And thank you for your service.
